There will be many opportunities for Calhoun County residents to provide input to inform this project. Between early April and early June, the project team conducted a public survey and engaged with residents at two pop-up events. The project team is taking the feedback from the survey and using it to help build a series of public transportation service delivery options, also called service alternatives, for the County. Once the service alternatives have been developed, the project team will present them to the public, online and through another series of pop-up events, for additional feedback. Please check back here periodically for more information about the survey and pop-up events!
The Calhoun County Transit Study team will be at the Calhoun County Fair on weekends and evenings from August 11 to 17. Stop by our booth to learn more about the public transportation options we are considering for Calhoun County!”
Thanks to our stakeholders and steering committee members for participating in a visioning workshop in late March! We got a lot of great input about community strengths, opportunities, and aspirations for what a future transit system in Calhoun County might look like. The project team will be using this input, as well as the information we gather from the public survey, to begin developing recommendations.
